Meet a Monkee Davy Jones eBook Steve Marinucci

I knew David for a small window in early 2000's. I found him to be a very unique and caring man who welcomed me into his world without any pretention or rock star bull. I found this read lacking allot and looking for more and way too short no matter what the price was. I would suggest if you can find it to read Davids own book on himself to get allot of the early stories , but as far as towards the end of his life or should I say the last 10 years of it I have not found anything yet to really tell his Story for his later life. He loved his horses and was found at some local horse tracks where believe it or not no one recognized him standing right in front of them. I will state that The Monkees were screwed big time by the Show producers and promoters and at least in the early part of this century there were still lawsuits circling around. Mickey was the closet Monkee to him and they got along great. I was with Davy on quite of few shows in NY and Long Island and hung with the band too ( was Davy's Band then ) as well as they played a joke on me welcoming me into the inner circle. I will never forget him and was happy to call him a friend even though once I moved away I lost contact but I always meant to re connect but alas God had other plans for Davy Jones.

Meet a Monkee Davy Jones eBook Steve Marinucci Reviews

Steve Marinucci is one of the SF Bay Area's best writers on topics related to rock music. This brief, but informative and well article, article is a window into a Monkee. Like his writing on other rock artists, he is fair balanced, interesting and Steve asks the right questions. Don't miss this opportunity to look into one of the creative souls that made the Monkees an icon of the 1960s who went into the 1970s and beyond to become legends. A brief, but wonderful, read. I highly recommend it.
Enjoy anything written by Steve Marinucci! He knows the ends & out of the music business! Give it a shot.
If you have .99 to through away go ahead and buy it. Its about 11 pages long. The only thing I got out of it is Davy was on the Ed Sullivan Show the same night the Beetles made their debut.
This is a very enjoyable piece on Davy Jones. If you are a Monkee fan, or if you are not aware of him,, it is a good piece to read. It is sad that it was one of the last interviews of Davy Jones before his passing, but it will give you insight of what he has been doing in his later years. Definitely worth reading. I wish it could have been longer. I'm sure he had a lot to say.
Steve Marinucci's e-book 'Meet A Monkee Davy Jones' is a nice compilation of interviews with the late Davy Jones which includes a review of one of the Monkees concert from the 2011 tour, the final one before Jones' passing in February 2012. Davy has some interesting insights on the Monkees, the Beatles and his career. My only beef with the book is that it's too short. Definitely a book fans of Davy Jones and the Monkees should check out.
I am a lifelong Monkees fan. Always will be. So I was looking forward to reading what I thought was a book about Davy Jones. Maybe I didn't read the description closely enough when I bought it, but all it turned out to be was a collection of three or four short interviews with Davy from the last few years of his life. The interviews were interesting enough, but I thought I had purchased a complete book. I gave this publication three stars because it is about Davy, but I do still feel cheated.
